Born and raised in Darien, CT, Rebecca Tier Soskin attended William Smith College where she graduated with a degree in Studio Art and Art History.  She began her career at Laura Ashley Inc. in Boston where she focused on Visual Merchandising, Home Furnishings and Interior Design.  Due to many hours of creating picture perfect window displays, dreaming up colorful compositions and scheming rooms for photo shoots, Rebecca found her love for decorating and design.

In 2005 Rebecca moved to New York where she was hired by decorator Markham Roberts.  She focused on assisting him in shopping, scheming and creating fresh, chic looks on projects as diverse as a shingled beach house in Southampton, a family farmhouse in Millbrook, NY, an art deco duplex on Madison Avenue and an Upper East Side townhouse.  Through Markham, she learned to experiment with colors and textures and quickly discovered that there are no real rules in decorating.

Since then, Rebecca has started her own business and has worked on projects in New York City, Westchester and Fairfield County.  Each space she works with becomes a collaboration of her client’s personality and her own innovative and elegant approach to design.  Many of her inspirations stem from the soft tones and textures of the beach where the water glistens and life becomes calm and peaceful.   She enjoys integrating simple styles with a hint of vintage and a splash of modern.  Blending the old with the new, can not only be refreshing, but a modish way to complete any space.  Visually clean, each room takes on an energy of its own and becomes a place that you can call home.
